PRIVACY CHECKUP
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.9.15 update, we announced that WhatsApp was rolling out a privacy checkup feature. This feature is designed to help users better understand and manage their privacy settings. With the new privacy checkup screen, users can quickly review and adjust their privacy settings to ensure they have control over who can see their information. It appears that WhatsApp wants to offer users the ability to quickly manage their privacy settings even when the privacy checkup feature is not available. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.13.12 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to open the privacy checkup screen!

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is exploring a new feature aimed at helping users open the privacy checkup screen, scheduled for release in a future update of the app. Currently, WhatsApp presents the privacy checkup banner within the privacy settings after a certain number of days. This means that users can only use the privacy checkup feature when WhatsApp displays this banner, since there is no other way to directly access this section of the app. However, with the new update, users will be able to access the privacy checkup screen whenever they want, without having to wait for WhatsApp to present the banner.
In our opinion, the new entry point will likely provide a more convenient and immediate way for users to review and manage their privacy settings without having to wait for the privacy checkup banner to appear. This feature will enable users to promptly adjust their privacy settings by following the steps provided by the privacy checkup screen whenever they need to review them. This will be particularly beneficial for those users who constantly update their privacy preferences to maintain control over who can see their information and how to keep their chats and backups secure.
A feature to open the privacy checkup screen is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app. We will share another article once we have new information about this feature.
