CHANNEL FORWARDING
After announcing a feature to create a username for channels in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.24.17 update, WhatsApp is actively working on introducing other new features for the future, designed at improving the user experience with channels. Specifically, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.26.2 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to forward messages to channels!

As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp will offer channel owners the ability to forward supported messages from other conversations to channels. These includes text messages, images, videos, GIFs, audio messages, stickers, and updates from other channels. At the moment, it is not possible to forward messages to channels directly as this feature is currently not supported. In a future update of the app, channel owners will be able to experiment with an improved communication experience by forwarding messages from diverse sources directly to their channels.
In our opinion, introducing a feature for channel owners to forward messages to their channels will allow them to refine content in their private chats before sharing it with the broader audience in the channel. This feature is designed as a valuable tool for channel owners, allowing them to draft messages and ensure the accuracy of the information being shared and preventing unintentional errors or premature sharing. In addition, we believe that the capability for channel owners to forward messages to their channels becomes particularly advantageous when sharing content from other channels, making it easier for channel followers to stay informed and engaged with a diverse range of content.
A feature to forward messages to channels is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app. As always, we are going to share a new article when we have additional details about this feature.
