CAMERA MODE
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.21.8 update, we posted news about a new feature under development: the camera mode. Thanks to this feature, WhatsApp would have redesigned the in-app camera by bringing new icons and a photo/video mode. After releasing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.24.20 update, some beta testers can finally use the new camera mode!
As you can see in this screenshot, the camera has been redesigned by bringing the ability to quickly switch from photo mode to video mode and vice versa. In the past versions of WhatsApp, you needed to tap and hold to record a video: thanks to this feature, you do not need to tap and hold to record a video but you can switch to the video mode, making it easier to record a video.
The new camera mode has been released to more beta testers and it is rolling out to new users over the coming days.
