LOGOUT SCREEN

After releasing a feature that lets some users link their Android tablets to an existing WhatsApp account, WhatsApp is now working on improving the logout screen. In particular, there may be some reasons why you are logged out from WhatsApp and this is exactly what the company is working on:

As you can see in this screenshot, this section shows up when you are logged out from WhatsApp for some reasons:

  • You decide to manually log out of the app from the secondary device (in this case, the tablet) within WhatsApp Settings > Account > Log out.
  • You decide to remove the existing session of your tablet from your main phone within WhatsApp Settings > Linked devices.
  • You change your phone number by using the “Change number” feature within WhatsApp Settings > Account.
  • Another unknown reason: your device may be unexpected logged out of your account due to a certain technical issue.

If you have been logged out of the app, you can log into WhatsApp again by pressing the “Continue” button placed within the same section.
The logout screen is a part of a feature under development and it will be rolled out to some beta testers in a future update. When we have additional details, we will be happy to share them with you in a new article on this website.
