POLLS
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.21.16 update, we posted news about the ability to create polls to share with other participants in your WhatsApp groups. Thanks to polls, you can quickly ask a question and provide some default replies so you can discover what's the most voted option. This feature has previously been released to some lucky beta testers but there is something new today: thanks to the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.12 update, some random users are able to create polls in one-to-one chats!
As you can see in this screenshot, we're creating a poll to share to a one-to-one chat and its interface is exactly the same as a group poll. At first, we didn't know why WhatsApp was going to let users create polls in their individual chats, but it may just be a fun way to ask something when you already have different options. As happens with group polls, you can add up to 12 options to a poll and WhatsApp will automatically update the poll when it receives a vote. As always, polls in group and individual chats are end-to-end encrypted so nobody can see their content, not even WhatsApp or Meta.
The ability to create polls in one-to-one chats is available to some lucky beta testers that install one of the recent versions of WhatsApp for Android from the Play Store. It must be noted that some random users may get the same feature after installing a different update but in case you still don't have this feature, don't worry since it is rolling out to more users over the coming weeks.
