WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.21.16: what's new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.21.16.

POLLS
After releasing the ability to manage who can see when you're online on WhatsApp, WhatsApp is now rolling out another useful feature that makes your experience in groups better. Today, some lucky beta testers are finally able to create polls within group chats thanks to the new WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.21.16 update!
If you want to check if the feature is already available for your WhatsApp account, just see if there is an entry point to polls within the chat share actions in your groups: in this case, you can start creating a poll within your groups today. This feature is not limited to group admins: every member of the group can create a poll.
When you create a poll, you can add up to 12 options and you can even sort them. After sharing the poll with other group participants, they can pick more than one option while voting. When there is a new vote, the poll is automatically updated in order to reflect the new result: you can see more detailed information about who voted within the poll results screen by tapping "view votes".
Note that even if you can already create polls, it is recommended for other group participants to install the latest update available on the Play Store otherwise they won't be able to see your poll.
This feature has been released to some lucky beta testers today. If you don't have this feature, don't worry: as always, features are released to some lucky beta users for the first time in order to verify if everything works for a wider launch. As always, more activations are planned over the coming weeks.
