DO NOT DISTURB API
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.21.7 update, we shared the first information about the support of the do not disturb API for missed call. The feature has been already released on WhatsApp beta for iOS some months ago and WhatsApp started working in order to bring the support for the API on the 2.22.21.7 Android beta update but it wasn't available since it is under development. In the latest version, the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.21.10 update, the feature is still under development but the team keeps working on the feature:
As you can see in this screenshot, a new label shows up within the calls tab every time a call is missed while your device is set on the do not disturb mode. This is useful so you always know when a call was missed due to the do not disturb mode. In addition, you should know that as we said in our previous article, this information is never shared with the caller.
The support for the do not disturb API is still under development and it will be released at a later date. When a compatible update that includes this feature for beta testers is available, we will post an additional article.
