WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.18.18.

The last news about this feature was announced in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.18.10 update: every time a group admin enables the ability to manually approve new group participants, this event will be notified to everyone within the group chat.
Previously, we also announced that a new group setting called approve new participants was under development on WhatsApp beta for Android: we assumed that there may be a new section where all pending participants were listed into, and it’s exactly the news of the day!
As you can see in this screenshot, a new option called “pending participants” will show up in a future update of the app: this option will redirect to a new section available to group admins where they can review a list of all pending group participants that want to join the group (for example, when they try to join the group by using a group invite link).
This shortcut and the ability to approve new participants are still under development and they will be released in a future update of the Android app. As always, we will post an additional article when further details are available.
