WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.6: what's new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.16.6.

REACTION PREVIEW
WhatsApp keeps working on improving their reaction feature. After the last announcement by Mark Zuckerberg, where he announced an upgrade for message reactions, WhatsApp is now releasing another new feature when receiving a reaction, for some beta testers:
As you can see in this screenshot, a text preview shows up when you receive a reaction in a specific chat. In this case, we reacted to a message by using the green heart emoji and a text preview showed up in the chats list. This works for both chats and groups and there is no way to disable it: it is still enabled even if you disabled "reaction notifications" within WhatsApp Settings > Notifications.
This feature is available to some beta testers and there will be more activations in the future.
