In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 22.214.171.124 update, we explained that we should always expect to encounter some issues when using beta versions since these updates are built day by day. In that update, WhatsApp fixed an issue when deleting chats:
The issue happened when deleting any WhatsApp chat by showing a persistent notification stuck at 100% right within the notification center. The issue was successfully fixed in the WhatsApp beta for Android 126.96.36.199 update but, for some weird reasons, the bug was back after installing the 188.8.131.52 beta version. Finally, it seems that WhatsApp just pushed another bug fix update (even if we need to wait for another week to get the fix) and the issue should be really fixed now.
Please install this update if you are experiencing this bug since this version finally addresses the issue. As always, we also recommend you to back up your chat history before installing a new beta update.
