SPLASH SCREEN - ANDROID 12
Android 12 offers a a new app launch animation with a splash screen that's automatically enabled by default. This looks very different from the one developed by WhatsApp some years ago, so WhatsApp is now introducing some changes to restore their splash screen after installing the latest beta update:
As you can see in this screenshot, the SplashScreen API used on Android 12 to generate the new app launch animation has been disabled, so the original WhatsApp splash screen shows up now. Nothing changes for users that use previous versions of Android: since these versions don't support the SplashScreen API, the original WhatsApp splash screen already showed up, but there is a revamped logo for everyone.
The changes are available after installing the new WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.13.8 update from the Play Store. Note that this update may be rolled out to specific people, so it is possible that the latest update available for your account is the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.13.7 version.
