WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.13.5: what's new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.13.5.

UNDO MESSAGE DELETION
Last year, we shared a tweet to explain how you can feel when you tap delete for me instead of delete for everyone... it is a disaster sometimes! A follower also shared feedback on Twitter about an option that let users recover a message deleted by mistake, and it was one of our favorite features: we are happy to announce that we have finally news about a new feature under development about this!
It can happen that you wrongly post a status update, so WhatsApp developed a feature to quickly undo status updates to save you: the same feature is under development when you delete a message!
As you can see in this screenshot, after deleting a message by tapping "delete for me", WhatsApp presents a snackbar at the bottom of the screen in order to announce that you can undo the deletion if it was a mistake: when the feature will be released to the public, you have a few seconds to undo the process, so you can immediately get back the message and delete it for everyone if you wish.
This feature is under development and, like any other feature listed on this website, we don't know when it will be released. We will announce the release of the feature in a new article when it is rolling out to beta users.
