WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.12.4: what's new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.12.4.

VIEW PAST PARTICIPANTS
WhatsApp keeps working on new features to improve groups for a future update. After the last announcement by Mark Zuckerberg about WhatsApp Communities and after announcing the ability to silently exit groups, WhatsApp is now working on letting people view past participants in their groups!
As you can see in this screenshot, there will be a new option visible at the bottom of the group participants list in a future update, that lets people view who was a participant in the group in the past. Thanks to this new option, it will be easier to keep track of who left a group. Unfortunately, it seems that this list will be visible to everyone in the group, not only to group admins but note that since this feature is under development, the way the feature works may change before the release. We do not know when this option will be available to beta testers, but be sure that you will find a new changelog on this website when the feature is ready.
