|Previous news?||WhatsApp beta for Android 18.104.22.168: what’s new?|
3 weeks ago, we have announced that WhatsApp was refreshing privacy settings, introducing a new option. The article was about iOS, but today, thanks to the 22.214.171.124 beta update, we can finally announce that WhatsApp is (obviously) planning to introduce the same feature on WhatsApp beta for Android!
What is WhatsApp introducing? WhatsApp is planning to add a new “My contact except…” option for Last Seen, Profile Picture, About, so you can finally exclude a contact to view specific data without setting it to “Nobody”!
As you can see in this screenshot, the “My contact except…” option will be available in a future update and it obviously needs an active Internet connection to configure it. When you exclude a contact, the contact does not need to use an updated version of the app, because the server automatically manages this setting for you. So, when this feature will be enabled for beta testers, you can immediately start excluding contacts.
