WhatsApp has recently submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.18.362 version.
Let’s find out together what is new ..
- The Consecutive voice messages feature is not available yet.
- WhatsApp is working in order to add this feature, adding new improvements in the next updates. It’s not available yet for development reasons and the feature needs to get many other improvements before to be enabled for everyone.
For this reason, it’s ok if you have updated your WhatsApp version and it’s not working for you seen that the feature is under development.
CONSECUTIVE VOICE MESSAGES
After adding this feature in the WhatsApp for IOS 2.18.100 update, the code of the feature finally appears in the 2.18.362 update. Also if the feature is not visible yet (as above mentioned), we can show you a simple preview.
What we’re talking about? The Consecutive voice messages feature is a new functionality that, as the name suggests, allows to continuously play consecutive voice messages.
The feature will start to work when two (or more) voice messages are detected by WhatsApp.
When you start to play the first one, WhatsApp will automatically play all other consecutive voice messages as a sequence, so it won’t be necessary to press play on each message.
When a voice message ends, WhatsApp will play a short audio to report you that action.
There are two different tones when a voice message ends: the first one means that the voice message has been fully played but there is another one ready to be played; the other one is played at the end of the voice message when there aren’t other voice messages to play.
The feature will be remotely enabled in the next beta update.
Stay tuned, we will notify when WhatsApp is releasing the feature!
