WhatsApp will add a new button to enter message search mode without leaving the conversation. The button will appear at the bottom of the screen when users scroll up through the chat. This will make searching for a specific message faster than it is today.

WhatsApp is introducing a new section to set up parental controls, making it easier for parents to discover the feature. Parents can follow the setup step by step directly from this section. When the child turns 18, WhatsApp automatically removes the parental controls and unlocks the features that were previously restricted.

WhatsApp is rolling out a new alert to inform users that the channel they just followed is muted, the same available on Android. It appears right after users follow a channel, when their attention is still on it. Users who want to receive notifications can enable them immediately, and those who prefer to keep things quiet can simply move on.
