Today we add a new feature in the “under development” list. Thanks to the 220.127.116.11 update, we have discovered that WhatsApp is currently redesigning the footer of the section that appears when you’re editing a media.
In this screenshot you can see the comparison between the old and the new UI:
In particular, WhatsApp is redesigning the chat bar, including now the button to select more media to send, and the recipient name is moved to the right, very similar to the iOS UI.
This redesign is under development and it will be available in a new update.
In these years we published a lot of news about features under development, that might have a different name after the release.
Do you remember all names used by @WhatsApp during their development?
• Unsend > Revoke > Recall > Delete for everyone.
• Status > Tagline > About.
• Vacation mode > Ignore archived chats > Read Later.
We discovered them together, here on @WABetaInfo 🥰💚

We talked about Read Later, a replacement of Archived Chats. WhatsApp is now changing back the name to “Archived Chats”, but the feature will still include all options offered by “Read Later”, when it will be released: the optional possibility to keep in the archive your chats when new message arrive. We will announce in a new article when the feature is available for beta testers.
