WhatsApp beta for Android 2.18.70 and 2.18.71: what’s new?

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

WhatsApp has submitted two new updates through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the final beta version up to 2.18.71.
But what features has WhatsApp added and removed in this update?
Let’s find out together what are them ..

This great feature is not available yet.
WhatsApp is started to work on this feature in this update, and it will be enabled in next releases. So it’s okay if you have updated your WhatsApp version and you don’t see it.
It will be available soon.

Finally WhatsApp has added the feature for all WhatsApp beta for Android users.
To show it, you will have to tap the “mic” icon in the chat and, after 0.5 seconds, WhatsApp will show you a new UI, presenting a locked microphone button.
Once appeared, you will need to slide up your finger for enabling the lock recording.

WhatsApp will update the UI again, giving you the possibility to navigate in the chat without holding that obnoxious microphone button!

Here you can see a demo video:

Another cool improvement will be added soon in next release, that will give you the possibility to listen your voice message before sending it. We will provide the same trick we recommended to follow for iOS. Stay tuned!

Also this is a feature that will be available in future.
You will be able to read the size of a specific stickers pack before downloading it.

Let us know on Twitter if you like these features and read our next announcements on our Telegram Channel!
Oh! WABetaInfo has a Discord Server about WhatsApp, where you can chat, give advice, ask help to other participants and read my announcements!
